Greenhollow Days
★★★★★ 4.5
Greenhollow Days is the game I open when I want to relax. You inherit a scrappy little plot on the edge of a village and slowly turn it into something. Plant, fish, chat with neighbours, fix up the old windmill. There are no punishing energy timers, which is rare and welcome.
The charm is in the details: seasons change how the village looks, the villagers remember what you gave them, and there's a gentle mystery about the abandoned mine that unfolds if you're curious. I lost a whole quiet Sunday to it.
Progress can feel slow if you want big goals fast, but that's kind of the point. It's meant to be sipped, not gulped.
What we liked
- No pushy energy or timer systems
- Seasons that change the village
- Relaxing, sip-not-gulp pacing
